This blog is an offshoot of my main blog at http://fireflylive.livejournal.com/
What this blog is not about is upping sticks and departing to the very depths of the country to live a virtuous, self-sufficient existence on a small-holding with chickens, pigs, a landrover and a Collie dog named Megan.
Nope. If you want that sort of blog, you'd better look elsewhere.
This blog is about responding to the challenge of living in a way that is kinder to ourselves and the environment around us. Moving away from the high-impact, fast food, convenience lifestyle that passes for 'modern life' and seeking to, as far as practically possible, switch to a more environmentally friendly way of doing life.
It is not about being perfect, but it is about finding what works and what doesn't when you are on a modest income. It appears to be easy to be 'green' if money is in abundance; but if it isn't, can the average person also live an ethical and environmentally friendly life?
Come along for the ride and let's exit the Motorway of life and have a bimble along some of the backroads.
Oh your bike, of course...
